About Ridgeline

A Bay Area where education and industry work together

About

We design career pathways
backward-mapped from employer demand.

Ridgeline connects young people aged 16-22 to high-wage careers and employers to job-ready talent.

We coordinate with companies, colleges, high schools, and training partners to design career pathways backward-mapped from employer demand – then deliver them to students through career exploration, paid work-based learning, credentialing, and internship and job placements.

Starting in the healthcare and maritime industries, Ridgeline draws students from across San Francisco Bay Area high schools.

Our Mission

The path is clearer when the trail is built together.

Ridgeline connects education and industry to build career pathways young people and the Bay Area need.

Our Vision

Rising generations thriving in careers.
A Bay Area connected
so they can.

We bring this to life by:

We help employers define pathways into high-demand jobs and careers.

We help young people move through those career pathways through career exploration, work-based learning, credentialing, and employment opportunities.

We help schools, colleges, and employers work together so those pathways can succeed at scale.

How it works

Three phase model.
Clear pathways to economic mobility.

We connect education and industry around a shared model: designing career pathways based on the labor market demand, so young people gain the credentials, experience, and skills employers expect. It’s cohort-based. It’s modular. It's focused on the critical transition years before and after high school graduation. And it’s all mapped to high-paying, in-demand jobs.

Why the Name?

Why We’re Called Ridgeline

A ridgeline is the elevated path running along a mountain range. Different trails lead up from different valleys. Once you’re on the ridgeline, the way forward opens up.

For students, that means multiple routes toward careers they care about – routes that unlock their purpose and lead to economic mobility.

For the region, it means coordination. We connect K-12, colleges, employers so young people can move from school into careers and employers gain access to reliable pipelines of emerging talent.
