We’re six weeks into Ridgeline, and we’re learning so much as we put our model – building regional talent pipelines to connect young people to high-wage careers – into practice.

Ridgeline, Cal Poly Maritime Academy, and the Working Waterfront Coalition partner to host Hands-On Deck as a part of first step in building the Bay Area’s maritime talent pipeline.

This is an open call as Ridgeline builds a pool of qualified independent program contractors we can engage for short-term, fixed-scope projects — typically 3–4 month engagements tied to specific program cycles and pilots.

This week a new generation of young people from across the Bay Area will see themselves in maritime careers they never knew existed, and our region will take another step toward building a stronger bridge between education and one of its most important industries.

This role is equal parts designer, organizer, and facilitator: you will translate big-picture ideas into dynamic career-connected learning experiences while also ensuring smooth operations and serving as a consistent, trusted adult presence for youth participants.

Ridgeline is launching in July 2026 to bridge the gap between high school and the workforce, giving local students real career exposure and experience before they choose a path.
