Full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities at Ridgeline

About Ridgeline

We design career pathways
backward-mapped from employer demand.

Ridgeline connects young people aged 16-22 to high-wage careers and employers to job-ready talent.

We coordinate with companies, colleges, high schools, and training partners to design career pathways backward-mapped from employer demand – then deliver them to students through career exploration, paid work-based learning, credentialing, and internship and job placements.

Starting in the healthcare and maritime industries, Ridgeline draws students from across San Francisco Bay Area high schools.

Our Model

Three phase model.
Clear pathways to economic mobility.

We connect education and industry so young people gain the credentials, experience, and skills employers expect. It’s cohort-based. It’s modular. It's focused on the critical transition years before and after high school graduation. And it’s all mapped to high-paying, in-demand jobs.

About The Team

Who We Are

We are building a team of people who bring the talent and the heart needed to make an impact. Our team includes skilled achievers who care deeply about building relationships with the young people, employers, and communities we partner with.

We’re focused on impact. Every idea, resource decision, and partnership gets filtered through a simple question: how does this drive towards our goals and strategy?

We are experienced operators. People who are excellent at what they do and who are energized by working in a startup environment, where the work is evolving and growing. The Ridgeline team turns ideas into action, often without a clear playbook. Everyone takes ownership of their role, and everyone is a part of our success.

We are full-range thinkers and doers. At Ridgeline, there aren’t teams who strategize and teams who execute. Everyone does both. This connects us to the mission and makes us better at what we do.

We are people who learn by doing. Our team figures things out instead of waiting for a process. This looks like building, testing, and pivoting, with an eye on outcomes. We are people who find ambiguity interesting rather than exhausting.

We are people who value giving and receiving feedback. Our culture principles aren't a list of aspirations on a wall. They're the rubric we use to evaluate performance, give and receive feedback, measure progress, and maintain accountability.

We value direct and open communication. This includes transparent communication. If a strategy is shifting, it gets named. When it's unclear who owns something, you name it so we can get clear. We push back during the input phase and then commit hard once a decision is made.

WHAT WE OFFER

We pay well. Compensation and benefits are strong and reflect the level of talent and commitment we're asking for.

We offer autonomy. You own your outcomes and have genuine decision-making authority within your domain. We manage by trust and results.

We offer a high-caliber team environment. You’ll be on a small, high-caliber team where there is honesty, drive to make each other better, and genuine investment in what we're building.

We offer a mission that makes our community stronger. Our work means  students find meaningful careers, employers find prepared talent, and the Bay Area grows stronger. We are creating meaningful change and you can be a part of it.

WHAT THIS IS NOT

This is not a place with a traditional growth ladder. We are an intentionally small team. There is no predefined path from your role to the next one.

This is not a development culture in the conventional sense. We will invest in your success, give you honest feedback, and create conditions where you can do some of the best work of your career. We do not offer large professional development funds or time allocated for training and development. You come in ready.

This is not a complacent environment. We believe holding a high bar is about respect and honesty. If something isn't working, we say so directly and we figure out why together. Sometimes it's fixable. Sometimes the honest answer is that this particular role, at this particular stage, isn't the right fit. That doesn't say anything about someone's talent or potential. It says something about the match. When that happens, we handle it with care and we part as people who respect each other.

"Ridgeline gives students something most never get: a real look at how healthcare actually works. I keep coming back because what they've built benefits everyone from the students, to our patients, to the whole community."
